Kaitlyn's 8th Birthday Party
we kept it small this year with kaitlyn and three of her best buddies.. it was an absolute blast. gary and i really, really enjoyed it! let me set it up for you.. kaitlyn really wanted to have a sleepover this year. however, for a variety of reasons, that wasn't going to work out.. so, i came up with the idea of having a late party.. 4pm-8pm.. the girls brought their sleeping bags & wore pjs.. the theme of course was hannah montana/rockstar! the girls made their own pizzas, made star door hangars, had a pajama fashion show, had a screening of the hannah montana movie and built sundaes & had cake.. oh my!! i think i covered everything.. it was such fun! take a look at all of the pictures, enjoy!
the goodie bags -- of course we had to have blow-up guitars! a rockstar party wouldn't be complete without them! the bags had a hannah montana headset microphone, beads, boa, stickers and silver hershey kisses!

kaitlyn's gift from mommy and daddy.. the hannah montana beach house! there's nothing like finding it on clearance for more than 50% off!!
the best buds! hailey, kaitlyn, kaelyn & megan

decorating their star door signs!

and... the pajama fashion show!! of course we had the hannah music blasting!
kaelyn's up first.. a little timid!
megan!
kaitlyn!
hailey
all of the girls!

building pizzas! it's an art form!
YUM!
the cake.. i hate to admit it, i caved this year and went to vons.. i feel very ashamed! LOL! i have to say, it didn't compare to the other bakery i always go to, but, it was just o.k.! if only christy could have come to california and put her expertise to work, then, maybe i wouldn't have had such a lackluster cake! oh well, maybe next year??

Okay, if this is your idea of doing a party on a budget, I'd like to see what you cold do if you had some serious dough to spend! The party looked fabulous! Loved your decorations. Kaitlyn's must have had a blast! And yes, the cake I would have made would have been much better, but what'd ya gonna do?
