August 2009 Vacation

We were driving up the coast from Solvang to San Francisco and had to stop at the Elephant Seal Reserve north of San Simeon.. what an experience! we love watching them frolick around the sand and ocean..

elephant seals! these guys weigh between 3000-5000 pounds and are very, very vocal! these two were hysterical to watch!

Kaitlyn and I were so excited to watch the elephant seals.. the winds were definitely going pretty strong too!

they also like to flip the sand onto their bodies

floating! it was truly unbelievable to watch these massive creatures in the water...

Of course we had to go down Lombard Street.. Kaitlyn thought this was hysterical! She asked if it was a joke??? Mama, this can't be a "real" street???
